Who are we?

OFI / OBI (acronym for Orientation, Formation et Intégration / Orientierung, Bildung und Integration in German) is an association of students from the University of Fribourg that supports access for people from migrant backgrounds to Switzerland's universities and colleges. Its creation in February 2019 follows a national project set up by the National Union of Swiss Students (UNES).

OFI / OBI initially assists people from a migrant background with their application, helping them to choose the right course of study and to complete the administrative formalities. In addition, the association puts new students in touch with "mentors" from the same field of study, who follow them and give them practical advice on studying and attending university.

Since its creation, OFI/OBI has played an important role in the daily life of the Fribourg region. We work with passionate and dedicated individuals to help people in difficulty overcome the obstacles they face.
